- The speeding Honda rear-ended an innocent motorist and slammed into the tunnel wall.
- After the impact, footage shows that the entire front of the Civic has been destroyed.
- Here’s hoping that local authorities are able to track down the reckless driver of the Honda.
In recent years, we’ve seen an alarming rise in reckless drivers across the U.S., you know, the kind who think highways are their personal race tracks. They speed, swerve between lanes, and put everyone else’s lives in serious jeopardy, all for the glory of a few social media likes. Of course, this brilliant trend has led to more crashes than anyone can count, with one particularly disastrous incident happening recently at Boston’s (Thomas P.) O’Neill, Jr. Tunnel.

Thankfully, traffic was light at the time of the incident, or this could’ve been a much worse situation, with far more vehicles involved.
This clip starts off by showing a white Honda Civic cutting in front of the car filming. However, it seems the driver of the Civic misjudged their speed and, while swerving around a red car and trying to avoid rear-ending a white Porsche Macan up ahead, they applied too much steering to the right. What follows is an absolute disaster.

Carrying way too much speed, they couldn’t steer quickly enough to the left. The car swerved across traffic and slammed into the side of the tunnel. As if that wasn’t enough, the Civic then collided with the rear of a black vehicle in the tunnel’s right lane, pushing it across to the other side.
In the aftermath of the crash, a woman can be seen emerging from the Civic’s sunroof. It’s unclear if she was the driver or a passenger, but it’s safe to say that whatever role she played, things went terribly wrong.
The Civic was destroyed in the crash. The entire front end of the four-door has been crumpled, the bumper ripped apart, and the hood bent upwards. There’s plenty of steam spewing out from the front end, too. It goes without saying that there will no way of repairing the Honda and it’ll be heading straight to a scrap yard.
Hopefully, local authorities will commit to investigating this crash and will be able to use this footage to demonstrate who was at fault. Driving like this deserves serious punishment, and if police have the powers to do so, they should strip away the driver’s privilege to get behind the wheel for quite some time.
