This barely driven Chevy S10 from 1998 is up for grabs after sitting in storage for decades, offering a rare chance to own a near-new vintage pickup

- Chevy S10 from 1998 sat untouched in a garage for decades.
- Seller says the truck has never been washed since delivery.
- Vehicle includes SS badges but is not a real SS model.
What you’re looking at might be one of the lowest-mileage Chevrolet S10s still left in the country, and that alone is enough to turn more than a few heads.
According to the seller, this 1998 Chevy truck has been parked in a garage since the day it left the dealer lot and has only racked up 400 miles (644 kilometers) in the 27 years since. Now, it’s for sale, not through a popular auction site or specialist broker (at least not yet), but on Facebook Marketplace.

The listing notes that the classic pickup was originally bought by his father-in-law from Nasief Chevrolet back in 1998. At the time, the plan was to replace the factory 2.2-liter four-cylinder with a V8.
That swap never happened, and whether that’s a missed opportunity or a fortunate twist depends on your view of originality. In this case, keeping everything stock may end up being the truck’s biggest asset.
It’s also never been washed since it left the dealership, which probably sounds more concerning than it is. While that might send detailers into a quiet panic, its garage-kept status likely spared it from rust or UV damage.
The photos show the truck looking generally pristine, with just dusty enough to prove its story. A proper detailing session could easily bring it back to showroom form.
Interior Mystery
Only one interior photo is included in the listing, and it’s solely focused on the odometer, which shows the 400-mile figure. There’s no visual evidence of the rest of the cabin’s condition, so whether the seats and trim match the story is anyone’s guess.

The truck is said to run like new and comes fitted with aftermarket wheels wrapped in Goodrich Radial T/A tires. The original wheels aren’t part of the deal, and while it wears SS badging, it’s not actually an SS trim model.
Price of Admission
Given how few miles the Chevy has been driven, and it’s pristine condition, it’s hardly a surprise the seller wants a premium for it. The truck is listed for $30,000 in Ashtabula, Ohio. That’s no small number for an S10, but with examples this untouched becoming vanishingly rare, it wouldn’t be surprising if a collector decides it’s worth every penny.
